In pictures: Nigeria's semi success
The national stadium in Lagos went wild as the home team booked their place in the final with a 2-0 semi-final defeat of South Africa.
Nigeria's Kanu looked a little concerned about the eventual outcome......
......and although this fan was never in any doubt......
......substitute Efetobore Sodje seemed to think his side were the underdogs.
The match was competitive throughout......
......but Nigeria's two-goal hero Tijani Babangida (right) stuck early.
John Moshoeu (right) and the South Africans tried to come back......
......only for Babangida to ruin the day for South Africa's Mark Fish and his fellow defenders
Midfielder Finidi George gave a superb performance tackling Quinton Fortune......
......and beating Shaun Bartlett to this header
The end result was Nigerian delight......
......and a job well done for a tired Kanu
