Giants killed: The penalty which sealed Celtic's fate

This year's Scottish Cup has been enlivened by some notable shocks - and more giants could be slain on Saturday.

Scottish Cup Saturday fixtures
Alloa v Dundee Utd
Berwick v Falkirk
Clyde v Hearts
Greenock Morton v Rangers
Hibernian v Clydebank
Partick v Livingston
Third round replay: Motherwell v Arbroath
Sunday fourth round match: Inverness CT v Aberdeen
The highest profile - and probably most unlikely - giant-killing would be a win for Greenock Morton over in-form Rangers, a result which would even eclipse Inveness Caledonian Thistle's defeat of Celtic.

More likely would be a second win over top-flight opposition for Alloa at home to Dundee United or defeat for Hearts at second division leaders Clyde.

A win for Clydebank at Hibernian would arguably be the greatest shock since the visitors have been unable to win a single first division league match this season.

Saturday also sees Arbroath travel to Motherwell in a third round replay which has been delayed by the weather on three occasions.

Meanwhile Sunday's televised game is the next step in the Inverness cup story, a home tie against Premier League Aberdeen.

Alloa v Dundee Utd

French defender Bernard Pascual is sidelined through suspension while Antoine Preget is doubtful with an ankle injury.

Siggi Jonsson, David Worrell and Scott McCulloch are all unfit.

Experienced striker Andy Walker has been ruled out for the second division high fliers as he is suspended. Ian Little, on loan from Livingston, will be given a starting role.

Berwick v Falkirk

Third division Berwick have reached the fourth round for the first time in 20 years.

They will be without Garry Wood and Steve Laidlaw, who are both ineligible while Colin Campbell is suspended.

First division Falkirk, beaten finalists in 1997, are at full strength. Only long-term injury victim Kevin McAllister has been ruled out.

Clyde v Hearts

Andy McClay returns from suspension for Clyde, but Craig Cranmer is banned and striker Steve Convery is missing with a thigh strain. Long-term injury victim John Barrett could make a shock return.

Hearts will give fitness tests to Scott Severin, Gary Wales and Gary McSwegan, who picked up knocks earlier in the week but should be fit.

Greenock Morton v Rangers

Morton boss Ian McCall, who had a spell at Ibrox as a player, is able to field almost a full strength side.

Morton boss Ian McCall is a former Rangers player
The exception is Canadian defender Paul Fenwick, who is on international duty.

Rangers still have a number of key players missing and Neil McCann could be recalled to the starting line-up.

Striker Sebastian Rozental cannot play after he was not registered in time for the cup.

Hibernian v Clydebank

Hibs will be without Earl Jean and Martin McIntosh, who are ineligible, but otherwise manager Alex McLeish has a full-strength squad to choose from.

French striker Hakim Abeiche will miss the clash with an ankle injury but apart from that boss Stevie Morrison has no fresh injury or suspension worries.

Partick v Livingston

Goalkeeper Kevin Budinauckas returns from a one-game suspension for Partick but striker Peter Lindau is ineligible. Eric Paton and Des McKeown are both injured and doubtful.

Livingston have a doubt over defender Sean Sweeney, who is struggling with a leg injury, while long-term injury victims Gerry Britton and Jim Sherry are still sidelined.

Third-round replay: Motherwell v Arbroath

Motherwell manager Billy Davies will be without Martyn Corrigan, who is ineligible while Dutch star Benito Kemble is rated doubtful with a hamstring injury.

Arbroath manager Dave Baikie is forced to field a depleted side as midfielders David Arbuckle and Steven Florence are suspended while Paul Tosh is ineligible.

Sunday, fourth round: Inverness CT v Aberdeen

The first division side, who stunned Celtic in the last round, will be without defender Richard Hastings and striker David Xausa, who are both on Gold Cup duty with Canada.

The Dons may give a first start to Kevin Rutkiewicz as Hicham Zerouali has linked up with the Morocco Olympic squad.

Eoin Jess is again absent because of a niggling ankle injury.
