Bangladesh on top despite Schofield haul
Schofield's figures read six for 120 - but Bangledesh are still on top
Leg-spinner Chris Schofield continued his impressive start to the England A tour with a six-wicket haul on the first day of their four-day Tour match against Bangladesh at Chittagong.
But Schofield, whose five wickets helped England to one-day victory at the weekend, was forced to share the first-day plaudits with batsman Habibul Bashar as the hosts made 315 for eight declared.
The Bangladeshi number three made an unbeaten 143, sharing in stands of 71 with opener Javed Omar (53) and 114 with captain Aminul Islam (47).
He scored his century off 100 runs in 220 balls, hitting an admirable 18 fours and one six.
But Lancashire youngster Schofield removed both Bashar's main partners, finishing with six for 120.
England A openers Ian Ward and Michael Gough stood firm for seven overs before stumps to close the day on 15 without loss.
