Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq was again the matchwinner - adding three wickets to his first-innings haul of seven.

Fellow spinner Ian Salisbury also chipped in with four for 45 as Sussex, who got a spirited 72 from captain Chris Adams, were all out well short of their 425 target on 217.

Lancs v Yorks

Lancashire clinched a 10-wicket Roses victory on the third day of their match at Old Trafford.

The visitors, who managed a paltry 67 in their first innings, slipped to inevitable defeat.

Andrew Flintoff, the hero of Lancashire's first innings with a career-best 160, removed David Byas (66) and Richard Harden (26) this morning with Yorkshire eventually all out for 277 and a lead of just 30.

Former England pace bowler Peter Martin finished with a second-innings haul of five for 67 and Lancashire then easily reached the target without losing a wicket.

Middlesex v Leics

The defending champions suffered a major blow as Middlesex's batsmen battled for an unlikely draw at Lord's.

Leicestershire declared at 225 for seven this morning to set a victory target of 317.

The home side lost openers Andrew Strauss and Ben Hutton quickly.

But former England under-21 captain Owais Shah (108) and Richard Kettleborough (93) compiled a 227-run partnership as the hosts reached 273 for six and a draw.

Worcs v Derbys

Ian Blackwell's quick-fire half-century helped Derbyshire to a six-wicket win at Kidderminster.

His unbeaten 62, which included two sixes and 12 fours off 35 balls in just 31 minutes, allowed Derbyshire to cruise to their 180-run victory target.

Blackwell put on an unbeaten 69 in seven overs with Steve Titchard (36no) after Derbyshire had lost their first four batsmen for 114.

Worcestershire added 68 to their overnight 177 for seven and then Alamgir Sheriyar and Stuart Lampitt picked up a couple of wickets each before Blackwell's heroics.

Glamorgan v Notts

Robert Croft grabbed five for 63 as Glamorgan climbed off the bottom of the table with victory by an innings and 118 runs at Colwyn Bay.

The visitors resumed on 163 for three and still needed 257 runs to make Glamorgan bat again.

But while Paul Johnson (53) - one of Croft's victims - reached his 1,000th run of the summer, Nottinghamshire were bowled out for 302.

Somerset v Kent

England under-19 batsman Robert Key struck a career-best 125 as this match with Somerset at Taunton finished in a tame draw, a result that keeps both counties in the top six of the table.

Kent captain Matthew Fleming declined to offer Somerset any sort of run chase as the visitors declared on 279 for six at the close.

Julian Thompson, the nightwatchman with a season's-best 43, and Alan Wells, who made 49, gave good support to Key.

Essex v Durham

A draw at Colchester following the loss of the first two days to rain.

Durham declared on 350 for eight once they had claimed their fourth batting point.

Essex struggled early in their first innings to 32 for three but Stuart Law steadied the ship with 94 before becoming one of Neil Killeen's four victims.
