Tyson set for May showdown
Tyson
Mike Tyson's opponent has yet to be formally announced
Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson will fight in Milan on 20 May, though his opponent has yet to be confirmed.

A spokeswoman for the Italian promoters confirmed the fight, which had initially been scheduled for 8 April, would now take place at a later date, but made no comment on whether Tyson would fight Lou Savarese, the American mentioned in media reports as his likely opponent.

The spokeswoman said details of the bout would be announced at a media conference in Milan on Friday at 1100 GMT.

Tyson's managers have been trying to negotiate more European fights since he demolished British champion Julius Francis in Manchester in January.

The controversial boxer has a big fan base in Europe and his Manchester fight was sold out in two days, despite a row over him being allowed to box in Britain.
