During the party conferences, BBC News Online is giving you the chance to quiz a range of leading politicians on the key issues.

At the Liberal Democrat conference in Harrogate, senior party figures including the new leader, Charles Kennedy, answered your questions.

The runner up from the contest, Simon Hughes, also addressed your queries, as did Scotland's Deputy First Minister Jim Wallace.

The Lib Dems' candidate to become London's mayor, Susan Kramer, replied to your questions, as she prepares to kickstart her campaign.
