The start of the tenth week of Nato air attacks against Yugoslavia coincided with the indictment of Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic for war crimes.
At one point, Nato admitted that its aircraft had mistakenly bombed
Albanian army forces on the Albanian side of the Kosovo border - an incident witnessed by international journalists.
Diplomatic relations between Nato and Russia appeared strained at the beginning of the week but agreement on critical areas of difference appeared to be on the horizon as the week drew to a close.
