Afghan President Hamid Karzai eyes Taliban 'reconciliation'


Afghan President Hamid Karzai has spoken of his desire for "reconciliation" with members of the Taliban who are not affiliated to al-Qaeda or other terrorist networks.

Speaking to the BBC's John Simpson, President Karzai said there was a need for "peace at any cost" in order to avoid further bloodshed in Afghanistan.
