Dozens feared trapped in capsized Bangladeshi ferry

A ferry carrying more than 1,000 passengers has capsized in southern Bangladesh, police say.

At least 37 people are known to have died and officers have voiced fears that dozens more are trapped.

The accident happened as the MV Coco-4 was approaching a river station near the town of Lalmohan on Bhola Island, a local police chief said.

Alistair Lawson reports from Dhaka.
