Afghans fear troop withdrawals

The US national security team will meet on Wednesday to examine the options for its strategy in Afghanistan, including sending thousands of extra troops.

The delay in making a decision and the heavy British and American losses has raised concerns among some Afghans about the West's long-term commitment.

The district of Mahmad Agha 30 miles from Kabul is under direct threat from the Taliban.

John Simpson has spoken to local people about their fears.
