Thousands flee South Waziristan

Aid agencies in Pakistan estimate around 2,000 families have fled from the tribal area of South Waziristan ahead of an expected military offensive.

The area has become a base for Taliban militants and the Pakistani government is under considerable pressure from the US to tackle militancy there.

Alix Kroeger reports.
