The number of people who died in floods in the Philippines over the weekend is now thought to have risen to at least 240.

More than a month's worth of rain fell on the capital, Manila in just 24 hours flooding 80% of the city.

More than 450,000 people have been made homeless. The country has appealed for foreign aid to deal with the disaster.
