Indian Hindus and Christians' meeting postponed

A meeting between India's Christian leaders and Hindu organisations has been postponed indefinitely amid reports that some groups refused to take part and that others were not invited.

The meeting which was expected to take place tomorrow Tuesday was aimed at reducing tensions between the Christian community and Hindu groups after recent anti-Christian attacks.

Christian leaders blame Hindu groups for inciting anti-Christian sentiment, while Christian missionaries are accused of forcibly converting Hindus.

Both sides deny the others' charges. The meeting's organiser, the National Commission for Minorities, is now trying to arrange a new date.
