US 'needs fresh Afghan strategy'

The head of US and Nato forces in Afghanistan has said that a new military strategy is needed.

Gen Stanley McChrystal's report has not yet been published but sources suggest he has called for the protection of the Afghan people against the Taliban to be the top priority.

Mark Mardell reports.
