The public prosecutor in the Mumbai terror attack trial has expressed his surprise at Mohammad Ajmal Amir Qasab's decision to change his plea to guilty.

Ujjwal Nikam also suggested that the Pakistani Federal Investigative Agency's decision to file charges in court claiming that Mr Qasab, a Pakistani national, was involved in the attacks, had left Qasab no choice.

Mr Qasab is the only surviving gunman from November's attack which left 166 people dead.
