US policy shift on Afghan poppy farms

The US has announced a turnaround on their drugs policy in Afghanistan at a G8 foreign ministers meeting.

Instead of trying to eradicate poppy fields, farmers will be given financial assistance to grow alternative crops.

Duncan Kennedy reports.
