Blast at Islamabad police station

Map

At least one person has died in a blast at a police building in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, reports say.

At least three people were injured in the blast, at an emergency call centre in the middle of the city.

The explosion comes just a day after a bomb attack on a mosque in North-West Pakistan, in which 38 people died.

There has been a series of attacks in recent weeks, and officials are concerned about a militant response to a military campaign against insurgents.
