Singers in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, have broken the official Guiness World Record for the most people participating in a mass choir of a single song.

The 160,000 singers successfully managed to smash the current 72-year-old record, which was previously held by a choir in Germany.

Participants sang religious hymns by "saint-composer" Annamacharya in just under 40 minutes at an event on Sunday.
