Your views: Lahore cricket attack

BBC News website readers in Lahore, Pakistan, have sent their views on video about the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team.

Gunmen opened fire on the team's convoy on Tuesday, killing six policemen and a driver and injuring eight tour members.

The Lahore residents talk about their experiences on the day it happened and the repercussions they think it could have on sports and politics in their country.

Syed Abid Mehdi was nearby and he saw one of the victims being taken into an ambulance.

He was surprised that a sporting event had started something like this.

He says residents have now gone back to their daily lives with a heavy heart.

WASIF KHAN, LAHORE

Wasif Khan

Wasif Khan praises the Sri Lankan cricket team for having the courage of going to Pakistan and sends his condolences to them.

He also criticises the Pakistani government for what he calls a"tremendous failure" in security and wonders why they couldn't prevent an attack at a such a busy time of day.

Fatima was driving through Gadaffi Stadium in the morning when she found herself stuck in traffic.
