Cricket captain reflects on attack


The captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team which came under fire from gunmen in Pakistan has said he doesn't know how the team escaped from the attack.

Speaking just after his arrival back in Sri Lanka, Mahela Jayawardene, said he hoped he and his team mates would be able to reflect on their ordeal and move on without it coming back to haunt them.

Six policemen and a driver were killed in the attack and eight people injured, including six of the Sri Lankan cricketers.
