Pakistan hit by border missile

map

Several people have been killed in Pakistan in a missile attack in the tribal region near the Afghan border, officials say.

They say at least two missiles hit a house in Wana in South Waziristan - people there say at least six were killed in the attack.

A security official suggested the house was a known hideout for militants.

There has been no comment about the attack from international forces based in Afghanistan.

The Pakistani government has protested over a series of deadly missile strikes attributed to international forces in Afghanistan over recent months.
