Catholic priest killed in Nepal

A Roman Catholic priest has been killed in Nepal after armed men broke into his home in the southern region of Terai.

Church sources say the priest, the Reverend John Prakash, was an Indian who had been in Nepal for 10 years.

Reports suggest that the intruders were demanding money, and the police suspect that the killing was the work of a group called the Terai Defence Army.

Correspondents say that the incident is another example of growing lawlessness in the area.
