Delhi police examine boy's death
Sanjeev
The exact circumstances of the boy's death remain unclear
Delhi police say they are investigating the death of a 10-year-old boy whose burnt body was found on Thursday.

Initial police reports said the boy was killed by members of a wedding party after he demanded money from them over a road accident involving his bicycle.

Police now say he may have been killed by people not linked to the wedding.

Tensions were running high in the suburb of Alipur, where the alleged accident took place and police were deployed in the area.

Angry residents of the area said the boy, whose name was given only as Sanjeev, had been burned alive.

"It's not yet clear whether the child was burned alive or whether his body was burned after he was killed," a police spokesman told the BBC Hindi service.
