Pakistan lawyer released for Eid
The authorities in Pakistan have temporarily released a lawyer who is a leading opponent of the government.

Aitzaz Ahsan says he has been told his detention has been lifted for three days over the Muslim holiday of Eid.

Mr Ahsan was arrested at the beginning of six weeks of emergency rule which ended at the weekend.

He says he will keep pressing for dismissed judges to be reinstated. "Our movement and struggle will continue," he told reporters.
