Afghans flee US shooting incident
A US soldier opened fire near a crowd of people after a suicide attack in Afghanistan, the US military has said.

Shots were aimed away from the crowd after a car bomb was driven into a US coalition convoy in the eastern city of Jalalabad, the US military said.

Two attackers died in the explosion, and another was later shot by police.

Witnesses say a number of US soldiers opened fire, causing civilians and police to flee. There are no confirmed reports of civilian casualties.
