Air raid on 'Tamil Tiger depot'
Sri Lankan fighter planes have bombed a Tamil Tiger ammunitions depot in the north of the island, the military says.

A military spokesman said the bombs hit an armaments and explosives store in Mullaittivu district.

The Tamil Tiger said the air attack hit a civilian area, damaging several homes and injuring six people. The reports could not be independently verified.

Troops have made advances against the rebels in the east and fighting is now focused on the north, observers say.
