In pictures: The end of the hijack After eight days the Indian Airlines hijack has come to an end, with 155 passengers being freed to the great relief of their families and friends in India and elsewhere. The Indian government released three Kashmiri militants, who were flown to Kandahar to join the hijackers as they left the plane.
