About 180 people were killed in the Mumbai blasts
|
Police probing the Mumbai bomb attacks have arrested a journalist over his alleged links with the banned Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).
SIMI has been suspected of being involved in the July train blasts.
The chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), K P Raghuvanshi, said the journalist was found to possess "objectionable literature".
On Saturday, police arrested another man for possessing similar literature and for alleged links with SIMI.
The police suspect SIMI of involvement in the blasts and claim the group was taking orders from the Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Toiba.
Lashkar-e-Toiba has denied any involvement in the blasts, that killed about 180 people and wounded nearly 700 others.
With the latest arrests, the number of suspects who have been taken into police custody in connection with the probe into the train blasts has gone up to 10.
