US-led coalition forces in Afghanistan say they have killed 20 suspected members of the Taleban, in the southern province of Uruzgan.
A military statement said the suspected militants were killed after they attempted an ambush from a compound.
It added there were no casualities among coalition or Afghan forces.
Earlier, the coalition said they had detained four suspected al-Qaeda militants in the eastern part of the country.
The arrests were made during an operation in Sal Kalay area of Khost province, a coalition spokesman said.
He added the raid "should put all terrorists on notice".
US-led forces are currently engaged in fighting anti-government militants, which includes supporters of the Taleban, in southern and eastern Afghanistan.
On Friday, Afghan officials said some 14 Taleban fighters were killed in Garmser district in the southern province of Helmand.
Another four Taleban suspects were killed in the north-eastern province of Kapisa on Thursday, an interior ministry spokesman said.
"Afghan National Army and coalition forces killed 20 Taliban extremists ... after they attempted an ambush from a compound," a military statement said.
