At least 10 people have been killed after fire broke out at a paper mill in the northern Indian state of Uttaranchal, officials say.
A number of others were hurt in the blaze, which began after an explosion. Reports say the death toll may rise.
About 100 workers were thought to be still trapped inside the building near Kashipur in Udhamsingh Nagar district.
"The whole area caught fire after the blast," police official Amit Kumar Sinha told the Associated Press.
He said hundreds of people were working the evening shift at the time.
Authorities told the BBC the fire started when a tank of sodium chloride exploded. It is not clear what caused the tank to blow up.
