Pakistan heat wave 'kills dozens'
Severe heat is thought to have killed at least 84 people in Pakistan's Punjab province this month, officials say.

Punjab Health Minister Tahir Ahmad Javed told the BBC that extreme temperatures had played an important part in causing the deaths.

But he said other factors, such as old age, weak immune systems and a lack of proper medical facilities, may also have contributed.

Officials say temperatures up to 50C have exceeded last year's May average.
