Police in Bangladesh say a bomb attack on an opposition politician has left him in a critical condition.
Shaikh Yunus Ali, a leader of the Awami League in the south-western city of Khulna, had his hand blown off when two bombs were thrown at him.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
A spate of bomb attacks in recent months has been widely blamed on the banned Islamic movement, Jumatul Mujahedeen Bangladesh.
Awami League activists and sympathisers in Khulna have blocked a local highway in protest against the attack on Shaikh Yunus, who had already been targeted last month.
