Bombs rock southern Pakistan

Police examine the scene of one of the blasts

Two bombs have gone off within half an hour of each other in two separate places in the Pakistani city of Hyderabad in Sindh province.

The first explosion occurred near the Sindh High Court building while the other bomb exploded near Barage Colony.

Police said the explosions have not caused any casualities.

A senior official said the bombs were of mild intensity. He said it was an act of terrorism and was aimed at causing panic and harassment among the people of the city.

A wave of sectarian violence, aimed at the minority Shi'a community, has struck Pakistan in the past week.
