Students die in Assam train row
Police in the north-east Indian state of Assam have called in reinforcements after railway guards shot dead two Bodo tribal student leaders.

The guards were trying to disperse a crowd of angry passengers who allegedly attacked rail police on a train from Bihar to Guwahati in Assam.

The passengers accused the guards of molesting five Bodo women.

The passengers, mostly Bodo tribals, forced the train to stop at Kokrajhar, and blocked the track.

Police are trying to control a crowd that gathered outside the hospital where two injured railway guards are being treated.
