Police in Indian-administered Kashmir have fired tear gas and used batons against demonstrators protesting against the death of two young men.
The protesters allege that the men had been used as human shields by Indian soldiers during an operation against militants on Saturday.
Five people, including the two men, were killed in the operation.
The protests at Pattan, 27km (17 miles) from Srinagar, ended after officials promised an investigation.
The BBC's Altaf Hussain in Srinagar says thousands of people took to the streets and placed the bodies of the two men on a highway.
