Indian comedy actor Mehmood dies
Veteran Bollywood comedian, Mehmood, has died in the United States at the age of 72.

Mehmood's health had been poor for several years and he had gone to Pennsylvania for treatment. He died in his sleep.

Born in 1932 in Bombay (Mumbai), he had acted in more than 300 films, including hits such as Padosan (Neighbour) and Sasural (In-laws' home).

Family members said his body was being flown back to Bombay.

Fellow actor and minister for sport, Sunil Dutt, told the BBC Mehmood and he had been very close and that he was saddened by the news of his death.

He said Mehmood was the best comedy actor in Bollywood.
