Euro MPs in India

Two British members of the European Parliament are in Delhi for talks with Indian leaders on the situation in Kashmir.

The two MEPs, Bashir Khanbahi and Nirj Deva, said they found a great willingness from the Indian government to talk about achieving peace through negotiation.

A BBC correspondent in Delhi says the Indian Government has been greatly encouraged by what it sees as expressions of support from the European Union and the United States for its view that Pakistan is actively supporting the militants.
