Afghan king leaves hospital
The former king of Afghanistan, Mohammed Zahir Shah, has been discharged from a hospital in the Indian capital, Delhi.

He had been admitted to the hospital after complaining of an intestinal problem.

His grandson, Nadir Naeem, has said they will remain in Delhi for the next few days as the 89-year-old former king is still under medical observation.

Mohammed Zahir Shah became the King of Afghanistan in 1933 when his father was assassinated.

He was ousted from power by a cousin who staged a coup in 1973, and lived in exile in Rome.

He returned to Afghanistan in 2002 after the Taleban were removed from power by US-led forces.
