Nine die in Bangladesh 'robbery'

At least nine people have died when armed robbers in Bangladesh reportedly set fire to a house in the south-east of the country.

Police said the attack happened early Wednesday in the village of South Sandhapur in Chittagong district.

Villagers said at least 11 members of one family were burned to death. But police only confirmed nine deaths.

Reports say the bandits set fire to the house after their robbery attempt went wrong. Police are at the scene.
