'Twenty-five dead' in India crash
At least 25 people have died in a bus accident in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, officials say.

More than 30 others were injured in the crash on Tuesday.

The crowded vehicle plunged into a river near the town of Chamba, about 200 kilometres (125 miles) north-west of the state capital, Shimla.

The driver is believed to have lost control as he was turning a corner. Survivors have been taken to hospital in Chamba, police say.

There are hundreds of bus accidents every year in India, where buses are a popular means of transport but many are poorly maintained and often overcrowded.
