'Five dead' in Kashmir clash
The authorities in Indian-administered Kashmir say at least five people have been killed and four others injured when Indian soldiers repulsed an attack by Muslim militants on a bridge over the river Chenab.

Two Indian soldiers were among those killed.

Security forces say they have retrieved the bodies of two militants and are searching for a third.

In another incident, railway traffic to and from the winter capital, Jammu, was severely disrupted following an overnight bomb attack on the Delhi-bound Shalimar Express.

Several carriages of the train were derailed near Jatowal, 40 kilometres (25 miles) from Jammu.

There were no casualties.

Repair teams are working to clear the line, and security forces are searching the area.
