India cyber crime arrest
Police in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh have arrested a man on charges of sending obscene messages to a girl.

A senior state police officer said the man, Paul Francis, had been arrested in Chandigarh on Monday and his computer had been seized.

It is believed the computer had been used to send more than three hundred obscene messages in the last month.

Andhra Pradesh is one of two Indian states to have what are known as cyber police stations.

They have registered eight cases under the state's information technology act during the past three and a half months.
