Bus crash kills 40-plus

Police in India say that at least forty people were killed when a bus plunged down a mountain gorge in the north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh.

At least nine others have been injured.

The accident happened about sixty kilometres 37 miles north of the state capital of Itanagar.

The state government has ordered an inquiry into the accident.

It's the second major bus crash in the state in the last five months.
