India angry over locust invasion
India's Border Security Force has said Pakistan failed to inform it about an invasion of locusts across the border into the desert state of Rajasthan.

The BSF say the two countries have always, in the past, issued each other with warnings about impending swarms of locusts.

However, routine communication between the two sides has been suspended during the recent stand-off between the two countries, with about a million troops deployed along their common border since December.

Rajasthan state officials have now sprayed the affected areas with pesticide, and have requested the border forces to maintain a strict vigil in case there is any further cross-border locust infiltration.
