In pictures: Afghan leader's funeral
Afghan Vice-President Haji Abdul Qadir has been honoured with a state funeral after his assassination.
Huge crowds gathered at Kabul's main mosque to pay respects to Qadir
Qadir was given full military honours with troops marching by the coffin and saluting the slain politician
His body was flown from Kabul to Jalalabad before beginning its final journey on the shoulders of relatives
The coffin was draped in Afghanistan's national flag before it was lowered into the grave
Prayers were said in the grave for the dead man, eulogised as a "hero of Afghanistan" (AFP)
Seven shots were fired as mourners wept (AP)
