Bearded boxers banned

Three Afghan boxers have been barred from an international tournament in Karachi Pakistan because they refused to shave off their beards.

They're reported to have said that if they did so, they would not be allowed back into Afghanistan whose Taleban rulers have ordered men to grow beards.

Boxing rules prevent anyone with a beard taking part in a contest.
