'Golf terror plot' revealed

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation has broadcast footage from a video which it says shows exercises at an al-Qaeda terrorist training camp in Afghanistan.

They include what appears to be a plan to assassinate world leaders at a golf tournament.

ABC says it got the six-hour video from Northern Alliance troops who found it as they routed Taleban forces in the American-backed Afghan campaign.

It shows al-Qaeda recruits carrying out exercises for the assassination plan at a camp north of the Afghan capital, Kabul; the militants are seen carrying golf bags and using a rocket-propelled grenade to kill their targets.

They are also shown rehearsing a hostage stand-off, screaming commands in English and at one stage apparently shooting dead one of their captives.
