South Asian Games postponed
Pakistan has postponed the South Asian Games, which were due to be held in the capital, Islamabad, next month.
The sports minister SK Tressler said the postponement would last for an indefinite period, due to the situation in the region following the attacks on the United States. The games are usually held every two years between members of the South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation, made up of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and the Maldives.
