Indian priest murdered
Police in the northeastern Indian state of Manipur say a Roman Catholic priest who had been abducted by gunmen on Sunday has been found dead. The priest ,Father Jacob Chittrinapilli, was taken from his church in Sugnu in the central district of Thoubal by two youths. His body was found by police a few hours later. No group has said it was behind the attack. But Indian intelligence officials say they suspect the involvement of a small rebel group based in Manipur which is hostile to Christians.
