GM shows off technology future

General Motors is hoping its new petrol-electric hybrid car can rival the Toyata Prius.

The Vauxhall Ampera has an electric motor that is powered by a battery.

Gherardo Corsini, GM Europe explained how much it might cost, with Denis Chick of GM UK saying the company's plant in Ellesmere Port is ready to take on production.

Reporter Jo Black gave it a test-drive.
